猿楽の流れを汲む面と言われ、天下泰平・国土安穏を祈る神事色が濃い祝言式能「翁」専用面。

It is said that this Noh mask is descended from Sarugaku. This is for the exclusive use of the shrine rituals for peaceful and  tranquil nation.
